Swing Gate Automation. Swing gates generally are single or double leaf which, hinged on the outer sides, rotate on the external axis to open and close. Leaf opening is usually inward towards the property, requiring a specific internal clearance. Single leaf gates are also possible, but in this case always take into account that the leaf may be very long and heavy, and should be avoided in windy areas. The automation can be underground (the motor is concealed and therefore does not alter the appearance of the gate) or mounted externally (the motor is anchored to the pillar or column and connected to the gate leaf). The first diagram shows installation of an underground automation (Metro), while the second shows a typical installation of a motor with articulated arm (Pop) and the third illustrates a motor with worm gear (Wingo).
